Service Description
The Information Technology (IT) department can help troubleshoot and repair issues with College-owned computers, devices and peripherals.
Examples of hardware issues include:
- Printer jams and malfunctions
- Laptop batteries not maintaining charge
- Computer unable to connect to the network
- Keyboard, mouse and monitor malfunction
- Computer won't turn on
- Telephone has no dial tone
Roles and Responsibilities
User Responsibilities:
- Provide a detailed report of the hardware issue, device make/model and location of device
- User agrees to grant access to their office or work location to troubleshoot the hardware issue
- User agrees to grant remote access to their device (if applicable) to troubleshoot the issue
IT Responsibilities:
- Assist with hardware that is not functioning properly
- Leverage warranty and support contracts for repairs, if necessary
